  • Land use planning and environmental issues at all levels including advice, counsel and representation in environmental regulatory and permitting compliance, and administrative and rulemaking proceedings related to the development and implementation of environmental regulations, policies and procedures
  • Cultural resource protection, such as drafting, analyzing, and negotiating a variety of specialized agreements involved in cultural resources protection and mitigation including tribal monitoring, mitigation, and programmatic agreements with landowners and project proponents, and render advice on and draft protocols for effective consultation between tribes and federal, state and local governments during the project planning process
  • Taxation, advising tribal clients on a wide variety of tax-related matters, including, tax incentive programs, tribal tax policy and code development, structuring tribal revenue allocation plans, and assist in structuring transactions and business enterprises to minimize federal and state taxes
  • Health care organization structuring and transaction; healthcare compliance obligations on a variety of laws and regulations affecting the industry, including but not limited to HIPAA, HITECH, Stark and Anti-Kickback laws; development of confidentiality, privilege, and data security policies and programs; day-to-day operational issues; negotiation of complex software system and services agreements; real estate and facility development permitting matters; finance and utilization of tax regulations in tax exempt bond transaction
